Our Head Designer, Rosalba Frica, began this journey because someone once believed in her. Now, alongside her daughter Albamarina, she creates gowns that celebrate those same moments of becoming.

Philosophy

At Gen Chérie, we believe your BECOMING is not a single moment, but a journey. You don't step into perfection instantly. You arrive there one stitch, one choice, one step at a time.​

Our Story

Our story began far from bridal runways, in the hum of a small sewing room. Rosalba Frica, an immigrant mother from the Dominican Republic, balanced a needle in one hand and a dream in the other. Designing between feedings, stitching between household chores, and building a life for her children with every seam she sewed.​

We met Rosalba not on a stage, but in the quiet resilience of her work. Her talent was undeniable, her humility inspiring. As fellow creators and believers in the power of dreams, we knew potential when we saw it, and knew we had to help it shine.​

Gen Chérie was born from that belief that when someone has a dream and the courage to pursue it, they deserve champions who will walk beside them. From Rosalba's modest beginnings to her debut as a designer, and from our own journeys to yours, we are united by the idea that becoming is never done alone. It requires a community of support.​
